We welcome you to our working Ranch located in the
beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas. Come stay with us at the Heritage House.
The Heritage House was originally built in 1903 and currently is being
renovated, keeping the flavor of the Victorian House along with enjoying
all the modern Amenities.
The house is located 3/4 of a mile off of
Hwy 56 and is 5 miles from the Historic Town of Council Grove, Kansas.
Wagon ruts from wagons crossing over the Santa Fe Trail are just 1 and 1/4
mile away from the house. A short drive to town will give you; shops,
restaurants, a grocery store, churches and many historical sites of
interest. Day trips to areas of interest are just a short drive. Within
35 to 65 miles you can visit several Kansas towns that host Museums,
Zoos, Shops and many other Points of interest. The Council Grove Lake and
the Council Grove Reservoir are just a short distance from the House. If
boating is your passion but you do not own a cabin on the Lake, or
staying in a tent is not of interest, then come stay with us. There is
plenty of space to park your boat and trailer.

It is our desire that you take full advantage of the down
home feel of the Heritage House. For example, the front porch will take
you back to a time less busy and you will love the peace and quiet (no
neighbors in site). We ourselves have such fond memories of sitting on
the front porch of the house, taking in the quietness and drinking a cool
glass of Lemonade after a hard day on the Ranch..........we want you to
come and experience our way of life. Come on over, take off your shoes
and breathe in some fresh air!
